Winston
Maratus speciosus, is a species of Peacock Spider endemic to Western Australia. Known for its vibrant, iridescent colours and intricate courtship displays, the male peacock spider raises and fans out its colourful, fringed abdomen to attract females. These spiders are very small and bring a burst of colour and personality to the coastal dune systems in which they are found. Their colour and surrounds are perfectly captured in this photograph. This individual was found on Cottesloe Beach.
