The Woman and the Loom
On a recent trip to India, we visited a village of talented weavers just outside Jaipur. The women had been offered looms and training by The Jaipur Rug Foundation, which provides access to education, healthcare and skill development. The women set their own work hours based around their childrenโs school day and their familyโs needs. During our visit, children were running around playing while the women chatted to their neighbours as they worked on their rugs. All profits of sales of this image will be donated to the Jaipur Rug Foundation.
